2005 FFIM Spring Conclave, West Branch Penobscot River

June 17-19 marked the weekend for the 3rd Annual FFIM Spring Conclave in the Mid-Penobscot region of the Maine. Proceeds benefited CFR.. For more information, visit the FFIM website at www.flyfishinginmaine.com/conclave.

2nd Annual Jamaica Bay Kayak Fishing Tournament

This year’s catch and release tournament was a great success thanks in part to Dee Kelly and our own Joey Kayak! All proceeds of this event went to two great charities: Friends of Gateway and Casting for Recovery. Please visit the Tournament Website for more information.

2nd Force - Frost Valley Retreat

This June, we returned to the Frost Valley YMCA Straus Center in Claryville, NY. This was the second year that CFR has partnered with a group named FORCE (Focus on Rehabilitation and Cancer Education) from New York City. Virtual Flyshop Roscoe NY Fundraiser

More than 35 Internet bulletin board regulars from the Virtual Flyshop met at the Riverside Cafe and Motel in Roscoe, New York for the annual Gathering of the Clan fundraiser. The Order of the Purple donated their proceeds to Casting for Recovery. The Catskill Fly Fishing Museum opened their doors for the silent auction.
