The Portland Rose Festival and Centennial Grand Floral Parade took place on June 9, 2007, and thanks to donors Baseline Consulting and Humphrey Strategic Communications, and the hard work of Women on the Fly and the Stonefly Maidens, the CFR float not only received live TV coverage on the local KGW8 station, but was awarded the Judge's Award (Exceptional Merit)! The Portland paper preceded the actual parade with a great article on the CFR retreat program.

The Third Annual Orvis/Saltwater Fly
Fishing Magazine Casting Cup at the FlyFishing Retailer 2006 had
participants vying for bragging rights and a first place prize to be donated
to the cause of the winners' choice. Three of the finalists in the inaugural
women’s division competition— Sandi Roberts, Rachel Finn, and Katherine
Hart— chose Casting for Recovery as their cause, and top honors went to New
York–based angler Rachel Finn. She is an Alaskan guide and a Scott Fly Rods
pro staffer. Her half of the purse was donated to Casting for Recovery.
